Welcome to postModern's fan site and thanks for
visiting. postModern is local band from Washington, MO that has
just started to get out there. As of 2005 they have been playing for about one year now. They have a deep
relationship with music and have no idea what they would do without it.
Even though postModern may be a
younger band than most locals out in washington, they are starting to get out there more and more.
postModern started out in a room above a garage. They practiced
in there and even wrote some songs in the garage. The garage or "Rooftop Records" as they so called it held a lot of
jam sessions for the postMdern and their understudy band called Wampum. After awhile the band started to get some gigs
at local restaurants and parties at friends houses or even at highschools for battle of the bands and other events.
Suddenly the band started to become popular around town and the name postModern was starting to become a well known band such
as some of the other professional local bands like The Steve Lesslie Band or Savanna.
Their style of music came from the leader
of the band Cameron Matthews. But the other style which was what they liked to play beside Cameron's style was a funky,
rock, bluesy, jam band, to descride them. That style was evolved from The Dave Matthews Band, Steely Dan, Led Zepplin,
The Police, Radiohead and many more influences.
Now that you know a little bit about them
you can learn even more in the Bio's section or by checking out the site.
